Manic Mosaics: MOSAICS

As you can see, my mosaics are always very colourful, I've always loved colour and luckily mosaics allow me show this part of my personailty, through something I love doing. I hand cut all the tiles used in my designs, this often takes many many hours as I like my work to be just that little bit different from anyone else's. A wealth of colour on this " Mystic" mirror, brought to you with handcut stained glass tiles, mirror tiles, and tiny seed beads. It is 12"x 12" £35 plus P/P £5

" Harlequin" a colourful mirror, smoothered in a multitude of tiny random shaped stained glass tiles, with swirls of mirror tiles. This measures 12" x 12" and is ready to hang. £35 plus P/P £5

Eastern delight, this lovely mirror has many elements to it, including inclusions of millfori, attractive beads, tiny seed beads and mother of pearl. Combined with my usual colourful stained glass tiles, and grouted in black, this is a pure delight. It measures 12"x 12 and is ready to hang. £35 plus P/P £5

Lastly a beautiful pure white mirror called " Snowdrop" this mirror has irridised glass which changes colour as the light reflects on it, tiny seed beads, mirror tiles and glass nuggets, and is approx 14" across £45 plus P/P £5

My most intricate to date mosaic is for the tattoo shop Redskin Tattoo in Bangor, North Wales. It measures 20" high x 15" wide, and is made from stained glass, mirror tiles and seeds beads. To get the effect I needed I cut 1" square mirror tiles into 25 pieces and the 1cm grey and irridised tiles were cut into 9 pieces.The background of the mosaic is painted in a matt black enamel paint, which compliments the shiny mirror tiles perfectly. It took me 5 weeks to complete, sometimes working 12 hrs a day to get it completed.

One of my favourite mosaics, it took a week to make working on it almost all day every day. It measures 18" wide by 30" long approx, and was made specifically for outside the small porch by my front door. It has two coats of exterior varnish to protect from the elements.

This was a large oil painting done by myself to enhance colours of the decor, and the mosaics add an extra dimension to the whole effect. This measures 40" wide x 28" long.

The guitar below was a commission for a guy that owns a music shop " Marcus Music " in Belfast. It took approx 3 months to make, as there were hundreds and hundreds of tiny glass tiles and seed beads used in making this. SOLD £500

This boot was called " Pimp My Dr Marten " and was bought by a lady who has a love of Dm's and as you can see it joined her collection of 156 prs of Dr Martens. SOLD
